It's Almost Summer

These pictures are from a chilly day when we headed out in a borrowed double kayak; right down town Metlakatla.

The first year teaching has been intense.... crazy busy! Between online classes at night and on weekends and working full time in the classroom, I am lucky to have had some time to get out and hike, sea kayak and make some fun trips to neighboring Ketchikan. Nate was equally busy holding down his two jobs and taking online classes as well.

Nate is currently in Durango and has his old cell phone and I am still in Alaska until the 28th of May and will join Nate in DGO then..... email is still the best bet to reach us.

We bought some sea kayaks and are looking forward to hitting the water a bunch next year when we get back to AK. This summer Nate is working for the USFS and I will be taking 12 units of online classes hoping to have an easier year teaching next year with some of my classes out of the way.

Nate has decided to go into teaching and will begin his program next Aug. and will work again as a Special Education Paraprofessional and work at the University of Ak at night. Busy! But it is fun.... !
